Worked example

Say your Year 4 class has this week's spellings: CALENDAR, FOREIGN, LIBRARY, NATURAL, RHYTHM, SPECIAL, THOUGH, WEATHER. Paste the list, set word count to 8, choose FIRST, keep difficulty MEDIUM, and toggle on the answer key.

Methodology

The generator reads your list, trims blank lines, and takes n words using FIRST (in order) or RANDOM (shuffled) selection. Each word is then scrambled using a letter-shuffle routine, with the difficulty setting adjusting how aggressively letters move. With Avoid original on, it re-shuffles up to twelve times until the scrambled spelling differs from the source.
